Every once in a while I like to feature a fabulous wedding, especially when the clients were so much fun to collaborate with! Last weekend at the Hotel Pierre was the wedding of Jessica and P.J. Now, a week later, we are all STILL buzzing from the incredible experience that we shared, and that we created for them and their guests. I loved the phone call I got this mornning from our mother-of-the-bride, where she said all the magic words that are so gratifying to hear. (I will include her letter below so you can read it too!)
Here are some musical highlights:
Grandparents In My Life (Beatles)
Groomsmen/Best Man We Are Young (Fun)
Groom & Parents Stand By Me (Ben E. King)
Flower Girl/Ring Bearer/ MOH Here Comes The Sun (Beatles)
Bride Your Song (Elton John)
Recessional This Will Be An Everlasting Love (Natalie Cole)
5 Piece Ensemble Harp, 2 violins, woodwind, upright bass
First Dance Maybe I’m Amazed (Paul McCartney)
Parent Dances You Are The Sunshine Of My Life (Stevie Wonder)
Cake Let’s Get It On (Marvin Gaye)
VR’s Fav Moments I loved watching the bride and groom’s ecstatic faces when they entered the ballroom, and then performing their first dance. They chose a song that has a guitar solo right in it, so of course I loved playing that too!!!
Notable Both parents of the bride and groom also got married at the Hotel Pierre! How interesting!
More Notable Jessica and P.J. were obvously head over heels for each other, and their families are both warm and wonderful. The love in the room was inspiring!
